About Berry Hill



Berry Hill is a town in Davidson County, Tennessee. From the 2000 census, the city had a population of 674th Much of the area of Berry Hill was originally owned by William Tyler Berry and his descendants. Berry died in 1889.

Residents in the area voted on whether to add the city to the 28th February 1950. The vote was 138 135 in favor of incorporation. Berry Hill became the first incorporated community in Davidson County, incorporated in 1938 as the Belle Meade. The population of Berry Hill at the time of incorporation shall be renumbered as the 1200th The first was the City Mayor Ralph Rosa, who served for 22 years.

In 1963, the governments and the City of Nashville Davidson County merged to form a consolidated metropolitan government, so part of Berry Hill Nashville Metropolitan.

Although the Berry Hill is officially part of Metro Nashville, it retains its status as a municipal waste city. Nashville Metro operates mainly in the county government and the Berry Hill offers the same services in the city, as it provides for the rest of the county.
