Franklin is a town in Williamson County, Tennessee, USA. Population of 41,842 at 2000 census. It is the county seat Williamson County.
From the 2000 census was 41,842 people, 16,128 households, and 11,225 families residing in the city. The population density was 538.0/km (1,393.3 / mi). 17,296 housing units had an average density of 222.4/km (575.9/mi). The racial makeup of the city was 84.53% White, 10.35% African American, 0.24% Native American, 1.61% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 2.17% other races, and 1.06% in two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.84% of the population.
Was 16,128 households, of which 38.6% were under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were married couples living together, 10.8% were female householder with no husband present, and 30.4% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
